First Watercolor Painting

A Masterpiece, if I do say so myself!

Yeah for the weekend! We had a great week and are slowly adjusting to our new work/MDO schedule. It isn't easy getting out the door so early in the morning! And it was a rough adjustment to morning traffic with all the rain we've had! At the beginning of the week Zoe was acting in silent protest by not eating lunch or napping at school, but on Friday she ate a good portion of lunch and napped for 1/2 an hour (it's a start!). I think she will start catching on to the new routine very soon. I just ordered her a nap mat, so when she has her "own" napping stuff, that should help. We are still struggling with what to put in her lunch (they don't heat food, no peanut butter, and she has to be able to eat it pretty independently)...any suggestions from you experienced mommas?!

On Friday afternoon Paul came up to the school and we walked over to the park and then went to the Village for some Jamba Juice (ah, refreshing and delicious!).

Today while Paul helped some friends move, Zoe and I went to the PTC (Pearland Town Center) and wandered a few stores and then played (and by played, I mea that mostly I chased after her...note pictures are mostly of her back!) in the pavillion area.

Hi ho...hi ho...it's off to work I go!

So, I just got a job...what kind of job you ask? I will be teaching, yep teaching! I got a job at West University Baptisit Church in A Children's Village, the MDO program! I am very excited to embark on this new adventure and feel strongly that it is an answer to prayer...God is Good!
Zoe will be coming with me (Tuition Free...Amen!) daily from 9am--2pm. I just started on Friday night with an evening of meeting other teachers and getting some basic orientation information. I will actually be co-teaching with Miss Diane who is so kind, warm and welcoming--not to mention that she has been there for 6 years so she has a wealth of knowledge that I can soak up in the coming weeks. School starts on September 5th, so I have a lot to learn by then.
