Yeah for the weekend! We had a great week and are slowly adjusting to our new work/MDO schedule. It isn't easy getting out the door so early in the morning! And it was a rough adjustment to morning traffic with all the rain we've had! At the beginning of the week Zoe was acting in silent protest by not eating lunch or napping at school, but on Friday she ate a good portion of lunch and napped for 1/2 an hour (it's a start!). I think she will start catching on to the new routine very soon. I just ordered her a nap mat, so when she has her "own" napping stuff, that should help. We are still struggling with what to put in her lunch (they don't heat food, no peanut butter, and she has to be able to eat it pretty independently)...any suggestions from you experienced mommas?!
On Friday afternoon Paul came up to the school and we walked over to the park and then went to the Village for some Jamba Juice (ah, refreshing and delicious!).
Today while Paul helped some friends move, Zoe and I went to the PTC (Pearland Town Center) and wandered a few stores and then played (and by played, I mea that mostly I chased after her...note pictures are mostly of her back!) in the pavillion area.
Enjoy the pictures...

I struggle with the MDO food issue too- Ava gets a lot of lunch meat without mayo or pizza. If you get some good ideas from other moms let me know!
I loved seeing all your updates- hope teaching goes well!
so i just happened upon your page through a friends..i am a nanny and the little boy i watch goes to MDO while I am at school in the dallas area...and I fix his lunches... I usually put semi-frozen fruit (defrost a bit), Amy's pizza has organic pizza bites that are pretty good (we cook them that morning so they are somewhat lukewarm by lunch)....and we usually buy organic chicken nuggets....also...Little Giant makes little broccoli& carrots w/ italian dressing..they are frozen but I heat them up in the micro and put them for his lunch. sometimes I mix chicken with it...we also freeze grapes and then cut them up. he also likes tuna/mayo/relish/eggs with crackers..just some ideas...hope it helps!
