Honestly...a day in the life...for real

Okay it's 1:31 in the afternoon and I've got to get a few things off my chest (besides the spitup!)...Please tune out if you are one of my many friends expecting a bundle of joy for the first time or thinking about it...just keep blistfully dreaming of sweet cooing, soft snuggling and butterfly kisses :)

I treated myself to an episode of Ellen (the one hour of television I love!!), oh yeah I should mention that I actually couldn't do anything for an hour because my precious was attached to my breast. Okay time to clean up the house...With Zoe in her Einstien activity saucer, I worked on the kitchen...approximately 1.5 minutes later...what does my nose smell (didn't take Scooby Doo to solve this mystery)? A dirty diaper. As I rush to the changing table, I wonder why I even bothered with a diaper. Okay...only a bath could fully clean this one...I wrap my naked baby up in a towel and as I step into the bathroom. Why is my shirt wet I think to myself (not on my shoulder where it is always in a state of wet and slimy) Oh my darling has peed (is that the spelling? It looks wierd)on me--scrap the diaper-free attitude of moments ago. So I drop her onsie--now a lovely shade of yellow brown--in the sink to soak wondering once again: Should I just throw it away? If my expectant moms are reading still, first, shame on you. Second you too will ask that question. I decided to try to salvage the onsie. Minutes later the bath is done. Zoe is clean and smiling...God is good. I am sure more excitement will ensue soon...stay tuned. Love Caryn

Honest to goodness...you should write one of those funny diary type books or see if you can get a column in the local paper (or submit to magazines). I think it would be a hit with women of all ages.
