Happy 4th of July...(okay happy 8th!)

I hope everyone enjoyed the 4th of July holiday. We spent the morning in New Bern, NC at the Tryon Palace where we heard a reading of the Declaration of Independence--very patriotic! After some North Carolina BBQ we again headed to the beach and then had a restful evening enjoying the fireworks from all of the surrounding towns from the balcony.

What a difference a year makes!

We just returned from a great vacation at Atlantic Beach. It is an annual adventure, but this year was a little different without Paul! Stay tuned for more beach pictures...

A Girls Weekend to Recharge!

On Friday afternoon I packed my bags--the ones not containing diapers,wipes, raisins etc-- and got outta town. Kerri (a friend from mom's club and fellow Baylor Bear) graciously hosted a weekend at her lakehouse (off lake McQueeny) and 10 ladies had a chance to relax and recharge without babies! The weekend was complete with snacking, talking, drinking, jacuzzi-ing, sleeping, boating, water skiing, jet-sking, eating out, shopping, sleeping-in, junk mag reading, girl movie wathin' & sunning! I missed my Zoe Kate (and Paul, of course) but they had a great time having a little daddy daughter bonding time
